Pancakes with banana and almond flour

There’s nothing like a delicious, fluffy stack of pancakes on weekend mornings! Bananas not only add flavor, they also add moisture and natural sweetness. They are sure to be a hit with the whole family!

These are totally grain-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free (dairy-free), but they’re just as good as any traditional pancake. They are soft, tender with a delicious sweet nutty flavor.

Since they’re not overly sweet, they’re perfect for add-ins like kids’ chocolate chips, and it’s a perfect vehicle for some hot maple syrup.


We love them because they are easy, delicious, and packed with nutrients.

The ingredients are the best part! Here are some of our favorite ideas:

  1. Maple syrup or pancake syrup.
  2. Softened salted butter.
  3. Peanut butter or almond butter.
  4. Sliced ​​bananas.
  5. Candied pecans or chopped caramelized pecans.
  6. Make a dessert and decorate with whipped cream, Nutella and toasted sliced ​​almonds.
  7. Sweetened Greek yogurt.


This is a simple and easy recipe that doesn’t involve beaten eggs. So all you need is a bowl and a whisk.

  1. Blend the dry ingredients – In a bowl, add the almond flour, baking powder, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt and whisk to combine.

Refrigerate cooled pancakes in a sealed container for up to 3 days.

To reheat:

  1. Microwave – Place on a microwave-safe plate and cook on 50% power for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  2. fryer – Place in a preheated 320 degree air fryer and cook for about 1-2 minutes (turning halfway through once). This is a great way to crisp them up along the edges.
  3. Oven – We like to use the oven when heating a larger number. Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet and heat until hot in a preheated 350 degree oven.


Arrange them on a baking sheet in a single layer and place in the freezer for 30 minutes, then place in ziplock bags and freeze for up to 2 months. Once ready to heat, simply microwave for 30-60 seconds or until hot.

Can I use plain flour?

Unfortunately not! This recipe is created solely to work with almond flour. So I wouldn’t recommend using regular flour or any other flour.

Am I gluten free?

Yes! They are naturally gluten free, as they are made with ground almonds.

Can I omit the sugar?

Since they are mostly sweetened with banana, you can omit the sugar in the recipe if you like.

(These pancakes tend to brown faster than regular pancakes. So make sure the heat is always on medium-low.)
