Bonfire Cocktail » Simple and Healthy Recipe! ✅

Hot and spicy, like a campfire on a summer night: this bonfire cocktail it’s made with Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey and layered to look like glowing embers!

Campfire Fireball Cocktail.

Summer is coming and that means warm nights, sunsets and campfires!

I have very fond memories of these bonfires from my childhood. During the summer when I was a kid, we would visit family and spend evenings around the fire eating hotdogs and roasting marshmallows. I’m sure the adults enjoyed some adult beverages too!

Now that I’m an adult myself, I’ve decided it’s time to create a perfect cocktail for summer campfire nights. This Campfire cocktail is made with a blend of Fireball cinnamon liqueurs, juices and whiskey…for fun! It’s sweet, spicy and sensual… like those summer nights by the fire.

And also It seems even like a bonfire! This is a layered drink, fading from bright red to orange and golden yellow at the top. And it’s easy to make with simple ingredients and mixers.

Although I made this recipe with summer in mind, it would be perfect to add to your fall cocktail list as well! That ombre effect is so good…it will definitely be a favorite!

Instructions

  1. Pour the grenadine in the bottom of the glass. Fill the glass to the top with ice.
  2. Use a cocktail shaker to combine the rum and cranberry juice. Slowly pour into the glass, so it doesn’t completely mix with the grenadine at the bottom of the glass.
  3. Rinse shaker and shake to combine Fireball whiskey, bourbon, and peach juice. Pour this mixture into the glass, again, do it carefully so it has a layered look: red, orange, gold.

It’s okay if the layers blend a little, there’s no way they won’t! But if you work slowly, you can get them to blend in a way that resembles a sunset or the flames of a campfire. So beautiful!

Garnish with a maraschino cherry and orange zest, orange slice, or lemon wheel. Have fun with it! Even a cinnamon stick would look fabulous and add a little extra flavor and aromatic spice!

Frequent questions

What is Fireball whisky?

Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey is a blend of Canadian whiskey, cinnamon flavor and sweeteners. It is manufactured by the Sazerac company. Because it’s whiskey mixed with other ingredients, it’s not as strong as straight whiskey (33% ABV vs. 40% ABV).

It’s pretty common these days, but if for some reason you can’t find Fireball in the store, you can substitute another brand of cinnamon-flavored whiskey.

Can you make it into a frozen drink?

Sure! As summer nights can be HOT and sticky, a refreshing ice cold drink might do the trick! And this is one of those amazing cocktails that can be made in any way!

To turn it into a frozen drink, just triple the amounts of the ingredients. It doesn’t have to be an exact fit, as your blender size may vary from mine, but keep the same basic recipe ratio.

Put ingredients in a blender with ice and blend until smooth and grainy.

TIP: Freeze the juice in ice cubes so you can make your own frozen drink without diluting it.
