Boshamps True Alabama Feta Dip

This feta sauce is inspired by our favorite appetizer in Destin, Florida, the real Alabama feta sauce at Boshamps. Boshamps is probably our favorite beach restaurant. All food is made to order and tastes great. I dream of your bacon jam and this feta sauce. This recipe tastes exactly like restaurant sauce. YASSS!

Feta cheese, roasted garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper. If you love the flavor of feta and garlic, this sauce is for you! The sauce only takes a few minutes and has so much flavor! I particularly love the texture of hot feta cheese. It is super creamy and delicious! You could honestly have a meal with this delicious dip. Try it as soon as possible!

How to make feta cheese sauce

This sauce is very easy to prepare with just a few simple ingredients. In a bowl, mash the roasted garlic cloves until smooth. Add the crumbled feta cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Stir to combine. Transfer the cheese mixture to a small baking sheet or two wide-mouth jars. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until hot.

How to make roasted garlic

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Using a sharp knife, cut 1/4” off the top of a head of garlic to expose the cloves. Put the garlic on a piece of aluminum foil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Wrap the bulb in aluminum foil and cook for 45-60 minutes, until the garlic is golden and soft.

  • 1 lump garlic, roasted
  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • ½ lemon, squeezed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.

  • In a bowl, squeeze the roasted garlic cloves from the bulb and mash them into a smooth paste.
