Homemade Brazilian Lemonade Recipe

Here’s something I don’t understand about this recipe. Although it is called Brazilian lemonade, it is made with limes. Doesn’t make sense to me! What I do know is that this drink is one of the most refreshing and delicious things I have ever tasted. When I first came across this recipe, I loved how it had such simple ingredients. But my absolute favorite ingredient is sweetened condensed milk. Adds the best creaminess to the drink! Remember when I said I could totally drink that stuff? Well, part of it was joking, part of it wasn’t. It’s so good!

The ingredients are not only simple, Brazilian lemonade is also super easy to make! Also great for making large batches of. It’s a potluck favorite! It only takes a few minutes to mix the ingredients together and you have the perfect refreshing summer lemonade…or lime. I hope one day to find the answer to this!

Ingredients for Brazilian lemonade

There is nothing easier than that. These 4 ingredients combine for the most incredible tropical flavor! It will like you! Exact measurements can be found in the recipe card below.

  • fresh limes: Despite the name, Brazilian lemonade is made with limes instead of lemons. However, unlike traditional lime recipes, the whole lime is pureed rather than squeezed! Since this is the main flavor of the drink, you’ll want your limes to be as fresh as possible.
  • Sweetened condensed milk: This is what sets Brazilian Lemonade apart from the crowd! Adds the most amazing creaminess to the drink.
  • sugar: Sweetens the drink.
  • Cold water and ice: Helps regulate the consistency of the drink and keep it fresh!

How to make Brazilian lemonade at home

This recipe is so simple because you use a blender to make the whole mix! From there, filter and serve!

  1. Add ingredients to blender: In a blender, add the whole limes, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and water.
  2. Mingle: Blend until smooth.
  3. Effort: Pour it into a jar with the help of a strainer to remove the pieces of lime.
  4. Add ice: Add ice and serve immediately.

  • Other sweeteners: If you want to avoid refined sugars, try sweetening your Brazilian lemonade with honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar.
  • Add the herbs: Adding fresh herbs not only makes your drink photo perfect, it gives it extra flavor! Basil and mint are some of my favorites to add!
  • Make it dairy-free: Whole coconut milk is a great alternative to condensed milk! Tastes great too!
  • Make him alcoholic: For an adults-only version of this drink, try adding a splash of coconut vodka or rum.

Conservation of leftovers

If you have leftover Brazilian lemonade, transfer it to an airtight jar and refrigerate for 3-4 days. Ingredients can separate as your drink sits, so give it a quick stir before serving.
