Burrata Salad Ingredients

  • Burrata– Our hero ingredient here! Make sure you buy fresh and always check the expiration date with the Burrata because it doesn’t last very long.
  • Olive oil – I love quality Moroccan olive oil like Mina (unique, delicious and traceable)
  • fresh figs – sweet and fruity! Peaches are a great alternative to a peach burrata salad! Tomatoes too!
  • radishes – excellent crunch and flavor
  • vegetables– you can use your favorite vegetables, I only used arugula.
  • Toast – I use my recipe for the Caprese Salad recipe.
  • fresh herbs – as basil mixed with vegetables
  • olives –Any kind works black or green, I used Moroccan green olives.

Make Burrata Salad Recipe

The first step and layer of the burrata salad is the vegetables. I used arugula which I mixed with some fresh herbs like basil and thyme. You can use salad or lettuce or even fresh basil if you have enough in your garden!

A drizzle of balsamic dressing over the vegetables is the key to a flavorful salad! This step flavors the vegetables that are the base and bottom layer of any salad and often lack flavor. Read more about the dressing below.

Right on top of the vegetables, you will add the fruits. I have been using fresh figs today ever since I found some juicy, ripe and delicious figs at the store. Peaches would be nice, or just sweet tomatoes.

At this point you will add your remaining favorite salad ingredients. I added the croutons because they are hearty and crunchy, which I love in my salads! I also added the radishes and green olives. Both Mediterranean ingredients go great with Burrata!

The icing on the cake: it’s time to put your fresh burrata ball on the salad. It is usually served to whom or cut into pieces as you will see below and in the video. Pick your favorite way to serve this and get on with it!

Top with the sweet dressing and your burrata salad recipe is ready! Seasoning recipe below.

Burrata Salad Dressing

You will need a saucer or bowl, a whisk, and these ingredients:

  • Quality Moroccan olive oil
  • fresh aromatic herbs (basil and thyme)
  • minced shallot
  • Balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar
  • Salt

Tossed together in a small bowl and you have an AMAZING sweet, savory, fresh balsamic dressing that goes well with many salads!

Serve the Burrata Salad

Your recipe is not ready to be served! You can eat the salad as is with the burrata ball on top, or you can use a knife and cut the cheese into four quarters as shown below.

When cutting burrata you need to use a very sharp knife and be very careful. The outside of the cheese ball is firm, however the inside of the cheese is a mixture of cream and curd, so it will start to ooze when you cut into the cheese.

And that is! Perfect Burrata Salad – ENJOY!!
