Let’s bake some cookies!

I love adding some chocolate chips to this recipe to really bring these chocolate chip cookies together and make them look like you made them completely from scratch!

  1. Preparation: Preheat oven to 350℉ and line two baking sheets with parchment paper, then set them aside.
  2. Combine: In a large bowl, combine cake mix, baking powder, vegetable oil, and eggs to form a thick batter. Then add the chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  3. News in advance: Use a cookie scoop to scoop dough into cookie dough balls onto baking sheets, leaving at least 2 inches between cookies.
  4. Baking: Cook for 8-10 minutes until the edges are firm. If you use a large cookie scoop, it can take 19-11 minutes for the cookies to set. The center of the cookies will appear undercooked, but will continue to cook as they cool. Overcooking will result in crispy cookies. Remove to a rack and cool completely.

Easy tips and variations.

Try making these chocolate chip cookies and switch them up each time. Your kids are going to love it. You’re going to love them… It’s a family recipe that you can’t miss!

  • Cook the cookies: Cook until edges are set. the the center will appear rare, but will continue to cook as the cookies cool. If you bake the cookies until the centers appear cooked, they will cool and be hard instead of soft.
  • mixture: Change the chocolate chips! This chocolate brownie provides a good base for all kinds of chips. Try butterscotch or peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips, or even dark chocolate chips. A favorite option in our house is swapping them for mint fries for a mint chocolate brownie!
