Creamy chicken with tomato and basil » Simple and Healthy Recipe! ✅

Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken is a delicious creamy fried chicken recipe that is ready for dinner in 30 minutes or less. Chicken thighs or breasts are seared and simmered in a creamy tomato basil Parmesan sauce for an easy dinner that will drive the whole family crazy!

Creamy Chicken with Tomato and Basil:

Why not go crazy? A sauce like this is very easy to make with ingredients you probably already have at home. I also use dried basil here to accommodate those of us who can’t always find fresh basil. This is a chicken recipe for us along with our readers favorite, Crispy Baked Chicken Thighs! Honestly, this is a super cheap recipe (thighs are usually cheaper) and it uses a lot of pantry/refrigerator staples. The sauce is SO GOOD I could honestly drink it! It’s a simple mix of tomato sauce, cream, Parmesan cheese, and toppings, but it’s so silky and delicious! Best of all, this chicken takes 30 minutes to make with very little prep and can be served with anything you have on hand!

I love this chicken in particular because you can easily customize and change simple things to make it your own!

Notes on Tomato Basil Chicken Recipe:

  • This makes a very good amount of sauce! Serve it with rice, your favorite pasta, mashed potatoes or just a side of green vegetables to keep it lighter.
  • I use cream to make a nice rich sauce. If you want to keep it a bit lighter, feel free to use half and half.
  • Use chicken breasts or thighs! I use the skin from my thighs because I think they taste great. If you want, you can use chicken breasts. Note that they will generally cook faster than thighs. Keep an eye on them so they don’t dry out.
  • If you want a LOT of sauce, you can double the sauce ingredients and add a couple extra chicken thighs as well.
  • This sauce is actually better with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if possible. If all you have is bagged parmesan/shaker you can use it, keep in mind the sauce won’t come out as smooth.

To a good time!
