Recipe FAQs

What do zucchini do in brownies?

One good thing about the bounty of extra zucchini from your zucchini plant is all you can cook. In the kitchen, zucchini does the same thing as applesauce or bananas. Zucchini has a mild flavor and generally contains a lot of water, which is a great way to add moisture to baked goods and a nutritional boost.

Can I use a different chocolate chip?

I love using dark chocolate chips, but semi-sweet chocolate chips work great too. Or you could also add some peanut butter fries

Why is my dough dry?

The dough should be dry, so once you add the zucchini let it rest for 8-10 minutes. The zucchini will release its moisture and help the dough come together.

Can I freeze these brownies?

Yes, cooled brownies can be cut into squares. The best way is to wrap each one in plastic wrap and put them in a resealable freezer bag and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature.
