recipe ingredients

The base of this recipe is ground beef and tortillas, but the options are endless when it comes to seasoning them!

Check out my easy ideas on how to customize them in the ingredient notes below.

Notes on ingredients

  • Ground beef. The best ground beef for tacos is lean, grass-fed beef, as it has much more flavor and is a healthier, more sustainable option. I topped the meat with onion, garlic, homemade taco seasoning, lime juice, and cilantro for a flavorful filling.
  • tortillas. This recipe calls for (8) taco-sized soft tortillas, but you can use your favorite size and variety. Yuca sei tortillas are a mind-blowing favorite because they are grain and gluten free and have an amazing texture.
  • Vegetables. I chose shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and green onions for these beef tacos, but they would be great with grilled corn, avocado, or your favorite salsa!
  • Cheese. Omit the cheese to make this recipe dairy-free or use your favorite non-dairy cheese or sour cream.
