Summer and the hottest months of the year always make me want to grill chicken thighs. I love being out on the patio, cold drink in hand, checking the temperature of the cooking chicken and “patiently” waiting for it to be done.

Since cooking chicken on the grill is versatile, I will always add some grilled vegetables like asparagus or corn on the cob and also some sort of refreshing salad or side dish.

I love grilling drumsticks, but you could easily make this recipe with chicken breasts too. Have fun with the process and love the end result of juicy, tender chicken.

This can easily be made for a large crowd and is also a good BBQ recipe to go. Ask everyone else to bring their favorite side dish or dessert, and it’s a quick way to feed your entire family and friends with minimal time and effort.

ingredients

All you need are the following ingredients to get started. A simple blend of common spices gives grilled boneless chicken feet great flavor. You’ll love how easy it is to grill this chicken dish.

Boneless skinless chicken legs – These are great because there’s not a lot of excess fat, just enough to keep the meat tender and juicy.

Garlic powder – Just a fuck goes a long way.

onion powder – Adding onion powder is the perfect way to boost flavor without increasing sodium.

Salt and pepper – Taste. If you need a reduction in sodium, just skip the added salt.

How to make grilled boneless chicken thighs

First step: Combine the seasonings in a bowl.

Second step: Rub dressing over chicken until coated.

phase three: Arrange seasoned chicken legs on racks and grill 8 minutes per side over medium heat.

variations

marinate the chicken – Take the marinade ingredients and add them to the chicken legs. This boneless chicken thigh recipe is great with all the different types of marinades. We just love the ones with lemon juice or balsamic vinegar.

Add the olive oil – Rub some olive oil or coconut oil on the outside of the chicken legs before placing them on the charcoal grill. (or gas grill) This can help crisp up the skin a bit for that golden brown look.

condiments – Although I use garlic powder and onion powder, you can mix and match and switch it up. Adding a bit of cayenne pepper would turn up the heat, and a sprinkle of bagel seasoning would also add a hint of flavor. You can also use a grilled rib eye steak with the addition of cloves or nutmeg for a warm flavor.

Mustard – Rub the thighs with Dijon mustard before adding the dressing to boost the flavor and add some flavor.

sauces – Serve grilled chicken with a trio of BBQ sauces: Keto BBQ Sauce – 3 Ways!

Common questions

How do I know when the chicken is cooked on the grill?

Using a meat thermometer is the most accurate way to test the internal reading of the chicken. Insert the tip into the thickest part of the chicken leg. As long as the reading shows 165 degrees, the chicken is cooked and ready to remove from the grill.

If you’re cooking bone-in chicken, make sure you don’t place the meat thermometer near a bone, as it will give false readings.

What is the easiest way to turn chicken on the grill?

The instructions are simple! I like to use the tongs and grab the chicken in the middle and quickly flip it over. If you grab it too close to the edge, you could tear the chicken and cause some of the juices to seep out.

Is it hard to grill boneless skinless chicken thighs?

It is not difficult at all, but you have to be careful not to overcook it. I always have a grill ready so I can take the chicken out as soon as it’s cooked.

Cooking chicken is very easy to do and is a great way to eat fewer carbs and even fewer calories.

What side dishes go well with cooked chicken?

My love list for side dishes could go on forever. Combining chicken with vegetables and salads is one of the fastest ways to make a complete dinner.

You can easily mix, match, and change garnishes to create a new and unique meal every time.
