reduce sugars – Most hot chocolate mixes are loaded with refined sugar, which leads to inflammation and hormonal disruption. Consider adding pure maple syrup or just use a date or two to sweeten your hot chocolate.

choose raw – Ingredients such as raw cocoa powder retain more nutrients than conventional cocoa powder. Magnesium, antioxidants, protein, and fiber – all of these nutrients involved in detoxification are found in just one tablespoon of raw cocoa powder.

  • In a medium bowl, add the chia seeds and pitted dates. Pour half a glass of almond milk on top and let it soak for 30 minutes.

  • Transfer to blender, along with the rest of the ingredients, and blend until smooth.

  • Add it to a medium saucepan and heat until comfortable to drink. Do not bring to a boil as the nutrients in the lucuma and maca can be destroyed.
