Strawberry Syrup » Simple and Healthy Recipe! ✅

Use this syrup to make more bubbles, no problem: thirsty

ingredients
  • 2 pounds of strawberries

  • 4 cups of water

  • 2 cups of sugar

Indications
  1. Rinse the berries well, then peel them with a paring knife by cutting and removing the stem.

  2. Cut the strawberries into smaller pieces and place the slices in a medium saucepan.

  3. Cover with water and bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat to medium and let the strawberries cook for about 20 minutes, skimming any foam that rises to the top.

  5. After about 20 minutes, the strawberries will have lost most of their color and the water should turn a deep pink or red.

  6. Get out of the fire.

  7. Strain strawberry liquid through a fine mesh strainer into another clean pot, separating solid berries from liquid.

  8. DO NOT press solids to extract more juice; it’s tempting, but doing so will make your strawberry syrup cloudy.

  9. Once the strawberry liquid has been filtered, discard the solid berries.

  10. Add 2 cups of sugar to the strawberry liquid.

  11. Return to a boil, stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar in the syrup.

  12. Let the syrup simmer for 5 minutes until the sugar has completely dissolved, skimming off any additional foam that rises to the top.

  13. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

  14. Pour into a glass container, close and refrigerate.

  15. The syrup should last several weeks.
