Homemade cheeseburger. An absolute summer must.

And it doesn’t require anything special. Just some 80/20 ground beef, salt and pepper (seasoning is key here), and the most epic burger sauce to take your burger to the next level.

Serve with any topping you like (all bread and butter pickles for me) on toasted brioche burger buns. And don’t forget to buy good quality American cheese (or your favorite type of cheese if American cheddar isn’t your thing).

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons pickle dressing
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 pounds ground beef, 80/20
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 6 slices of American cheese

Serve

  • Homemade or store-bought burger buns with brioche
  • shredded lettuce

  • sliced ​​red onion
  • Dill Pickle Chips

Indications:

  1. BURGER SAUCE: In small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, pickle sauce, and Dijon; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine meat, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, and 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper. Using a wooden spoon or with clean hands, stir until well blended. Carefully shape into 6 1-inch-thick patties, about the size of hamburger buns.
  3. Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs and cook until lightly charred or cooked to taste, about 3 to 5 minutes per side; decorate with cheese
  4. Serve immediately on hamburger buns with HAMBURGER SAUCE and desired toppings.
