Watermelon with Za’atar » Simple and Healthy Recipe! ✅

For the more adventurous, this combination of flavors is truly delicious! Sweet watermelon pairs perfectly with the salty and tangy flavor of za’atar. You can find za’atar in any Mediterranean market or you can always make your own. – Just for licking

  • 1 watermelon, sliced ​​to serve

  • 1/4 cup sumac

  • 2 tablespoons of thyme

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

  • 2 tablespoons marjoram

  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt

  1. In a skillet, lightly toast the sesame seeds until golden brown.

  2. In a mortar, add all the spices, including sesame seeds and salt, and mash with a pestle. The consistency should be slightly grainy, not floury.

  3. Sprinkle with watermelon and serve.
